Vergelegen in Somerset West is a jewel in the crown of wine estates in the Cape. It has everything required of a premier tourism destination which includes architectural beauty in the Cape Dutch style. The Vergelegen Estate White GVB 2022 is tight, focused and beautifully integrated with herbal (fynbos), grapefruit flavours, ripe tropical notes, and a long, focused aftertaste. This white wine blend of Sémillon and Sauvignon Blanc is probably one of the best vintages to date and without a doubt one of the great white wines of the world.
